kheke can never be described as a classic, it can hardly
be seen as a song of all songs. However what the self
styled king of kwaito has created is a marketers dream
product. A product that gets free high level advertisement
and reaches all age groups.
It seems Arthur is sticking to
a well tested formula, create a sing along song and
make it as controversial as possible. This is a winning
formula, one thing that Arthur does not lack is business
acumen, his music skills might be questionable but one
cannot deny his business brilliance. His master touch
made the song reach the highest debating forum of the
land, our wonderful parliment. I think this issue kept
some of our favourite politician from sleeping especially
considering the cake cutting subject.
The song's video is said to be
very tacy, yes this is partly true maybe the powers
that be should have complained about the inferior production
of this video rather than the so-called adult contents.
I watched the video with great intancipation after reading
about its sexual contents to my dismay I would have
seen more on the Bold and the Beautiful.
This song however is doing well
it is a dance hit that a lot of people have taken to,
it has enhanced a dance craze in the clubs and you are
bound to see it in every party you at this summer. Love
it or hate it I suppose this is a hit that you cannot
avoid, you are bound to start cutting the cake and eating
it. Guess this is what Arthur was out to achieve and
good luck to him... By Sgantsontso
